We’re very excited to unveil the new starting location for Unite To Fight Cancer 2019 – the iconic Melbourne Museum in Carlton Gardens!
We told you that this year would be bigger and better than ever, and we’re delivering on that pledge. Picture the scene on Sunday 27 October – thousands of passionate supporters lining up in front of the breathtaking Royal Exhibition Building for an inspirational opening ceremony. We’ll forgive you for spamming Instagram with selfies (but just this once)!
Sir Peter MacCallum once said, “nothing but the best is good enough for cancer care” and we believe that nothing but the best is good enough for our supporters and incredible fundraisers. So we’ve decided to spoil you with a UNESCO World Heritage site – if only so we can enjoy those aforementioned selfies…
Our Event Village will be in front of Melbourne Museum, so we’re uniting two of Melbourne’s most iconic institutions – the new Peter Mac building and Melbourne Museum. We’re both steeped in history, we both share a passion for science, and we both boast bloody beautiful buildings!
A massive thank you to Melbourne Museum who have come on board as a partner, providing our start and finish site and making this possible!
We can’t wait for event day. What we’ve seen so far from our partners, volunteers, and fundraisers has blown us away, and we’re looking forward to sharing all these amazing experiences, goodies and memories with you all.
