Get involved
unite to
fight cancer

Sunday October 28 will see thousands of amazing people Unite in a quest to help Peter Mac find cures faster. There are many ways to get involved. Of course you could join us as a runner, rider or walker. You can also back your friends and family by sponsoring them to smash their challenge.

If you are free on the October 28 but can’t take part yourself, why not volunteer to help cheer on our fantastic fundraisers?

We need everyone to step up and do their bit to Unite to Fight Cancer. Why not get involved and help us take the fight to cancer?

Step up and tackle the challenge on your own. You’ll be making new friends during training and on the course. Plus our fantastic volunteers will be there to cheer you on!

Train, fundraise and enjoy the big day with your mates. The whole journey is more fun if you join as a team! So why not get a team together and sign up?

We love helping company teams take on the challenge together. With customised materials and additional support, we’ll make sure you have an inspiring time while building staff morale.

Motivation and inspiration

Exclusive rewards

We’ve got lots of limited-edition goodies to reward everyone who works hard on their fundraising.

You can’t buy these items – you earn them as you rise to the challenge of raising money for Peter Mac and vital cancer research.

We’ll let you know exactly how you can earn these fantastic rewards once you’ve signed up.

Training events

We’ll be holding a special ‘Train and tour’ evening at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne to help you prepare for the challenge, and to give you some insight into how your fundraised dollars will be used.

We’ll also be running a separate weekend training session with our partners at the YMCA Victoria – to help you get fighting fit, and a great chance to meet others who’ll be taking part alongside you.

“I’m proud to be a survivor taking part in the run this year. It’s more than money that you’re giving – it’s hope.

I will never underestimate the value of people helping people. Wholeheartedly, I thank you.”

For our fundraising heroes

Individual heroes

Everyone who takes part in Unite to Fight Cancer and raises money for us is a fundraising hero. But we want those who go the extra mile to feel extra special.

  • Anyone who raises over $2,500 will be recognised as an ambassador and receive a premium cycling jersey or event t-shirt to wear on the big day
  • Raise $5,000 to achieve bronze ambassador status
  • Raise $10,000 for silver ambassador
  • Raise $15,000 for gold ambassador

We’ll make sure all our ambassadors’ amazing achievements are recognised on their kit for event day, and on our website.

Team heroes

Team captains can also aspire to ambassador status by growing their teams and encouraging their teammates’ fundraising:

  • Recruit a team of 5-9 participants who each raise their $750 minimum and be recognised as a bronze ambassador
  • Recruit a team of 10-19 people who each raise $750 or more and be recognised as a silver ambassador status
  • Recruit a team of 20 or more who all raise at least $750 and be recognised as a gold ambassador

Team captains who achieve any of these levels will receive a premium cycling jersey or event t-shirt to wear on event day, and have their achievements recognised on their kit and on our website.

Why not join friends or family who are taking part? Or your company team? Get together to make a real difference.
