Get involved
and
unite to
fight cancer

Sunday 28 October 2018 saw hundreds of amazing people Unite in a quest to help Peter Mac find cures faster. Between everyone who signed up to take part, over $1.3 million was raised – an incredible achievement in the first year of this fundraiser. A huge thank you to everyone involved!

If you haven’t done so already, please consider sponsoring one of our proud participants.

Watch this space for information on how to get involved in the 2019 Unite to Fight Cancer.

PROUD TO BE GIVING BACK

“I’m proud to be a survivor who took part in the run this year. It’s more than money that you’re giving – it’s hope.

I will never underestimate the value of people helping people. Wholeheartedly, I thank you.”

Our fundraising heroes

Individual heroes

Everyone who took part in Unite to Fight Cancer and raised money for us is a fundraising hero. But we want those who go the extra mile to feel extra special.

  • Everyone who raised over $2,500 was recognised as an ambassador and received a premium cycling jersey or event t-shirt to wear on the big day
  • Everyone who raised $5,000 achieved bronze ambassador status
  • Everyone who raised $10,000 achieved silver ambassador status
  • Everyone who raised $15,000 achieved gold ambassador status

All our ambassadors’ achievements were celebrated on their kit for event day, and on our website.

Team heroes

Team captains could also aspire to ambassador status by growing their teams and encouraging their teammates’ fundraising:

  • Captains who recruited a team of 5-9 participants who each raised their $750 minimum were recognised as a bronze ambassador
  • Captains who recruited a team of 10-19 people who each raised $750 or more were recognised as a silver ambassador
  • Captains who recruited a team of 20 or more who all raised at least $750 were recognised as a gold ambassador

Team captains who achieved any of these levels received a premium cycling jersey or event t-shirt to wear on event day, and had their achievements recognised on their kit and on our website.

Thank you to everyone who took part in Unite to Fight Cancer to raise money for Peter Mac’s vital research – and to all those who supported them. You’ve made a huge difference for families facing cancer.
